Programs for August
A word from Janice Crutchfield
At our August meeting we will continue to work on/finish the Santa needlepoint project. You will need to bring the following:
- Some type of backing material for your ornament (please consider bonding the backing to provide more stability to the fabric, as the canvas is stiff).
- If you wish to make a tassle for your ornament, please bring a skein of DMC floss in either white or red.
- If you have a hot glue gun or a cording tool, please bring for making/attaching the cording and fuzzy ball.
- Needle & thread to sew the front and backing together.
I have the fuzzy balls for the top of Santa's hat, and I will have stuffing available. We will be making cording from the white pearl cotton in your kit.
At our September/October meetings, we will be making a Biscornu, taught by Margaret Wiesemann.
